The venue? The Palace Theatre. The show? It's called Miracle, and it's the latest mind-blower from the brilliant Derren Brown, Britain's own master of hypnosis, suggestion and psychology. Brown's skills are a lot more interesting than mere magic. He uses an extraordinary combination of misdirection, body language, subliminal influencing and pure, old-school showmanship to amaze audiences, leaving them delightedly stunned. On stage at the Palace Theatre after a UK tour, Miracle opens on 11th November – just in time for a seasonal treat – and plays until 16th January 2016.
This is Brown's latest in a string of award-winning shows revealing him as the nation's premier illusionist. This time Brown takes a philosophical turn in pursuit of human happiness. According to Brown, “More than any other show it's been an extraordinary voyage. Some of its braver aspects not only work but seem to work unsettlingly well. In some ways it's the boldest, most contentious show yet. But audiences are responding well to it. And I just love doing it – it's quite a rollercoaster.” As you'd expect it's tipped to be another sell-out, so grab tickets while you can.
