2020 has been a long, hard, difficult year. The West End has been struggling to cope, along with the rest of us, so it's magical to see some of our best-loved theatres opening their doors to entertainment-hungry families. It's even better to see the Palace theatre hosting one of the best stand-up comics in the land, telling a bunch of tall yet true tales about what goes on in our dear old NHS during the festive season. While the rest of us are gearing down to celebrate, almost a million and a half NHS staff are gearing up for chaos. The results, as told by Kay, are hilariously funny.
What can you expect? Kay himself, larger than life on stage. Oodles of fantastic excerpts from his smash hit book of the same name. Loads of fresh festive stand-up, and lots of new content specially created for the stage show. Anyone aged 12 or above will laugh their socks off. You'll go home feeling cheered up, inspired, and respecting the NHS even more than you did in the first place. You don't need to climb the highest mountain, travel to Mars or fight wars to be a hero. You just need to be an NHS worker in it up to your neck this Christmas. Thank you, all of you, from the bottom of our hearts.
